She celebrated the big day yesterday with her family and friends, including her boyfriend, Steven. She also had an emotional encounter with her father who she has never met before winning BBA.

Elikem Shooting A Movie With Jackie Appiah

Big Brother Africa The chase third-runner-up Elikem Kumordzie has landed a movie role just weeks after his arrival from the realty show.

Elikem is currently busy on the set shooting along side super-actors Jackie Appiah and Lil Win.

The ‘Tailor’ had said he wants to get into fashion designing but it seems he has his plate full already.

The name of the movie has not been announced yet but the folks involved in the project expect the movie to hit the screens before the Christmas holidays.

Apart from spending time on the set, Elikem is also touring the ten regions in Ghana with his Zimbabwean sweetheart Pokello who is in the country to pay him a return visit after he flew to check on her in her home country Zimbabwe.

She is Nigeria’s latest favourite having represented the country at the just concluded Big Brother Africa contest where she was a finalist. She was hosted in Abuja recently and ROTIMI IGE brings excerpts from the interview.

I feel like the camera in the Big Brother House didn’t do you justice because you look better in person.
I have heard that a lot.

For the sake of those that do not know you, say something about yourself?
I am Beverly Osu, I represented Nigeria in the Big Brother season 8 the chase (BBA). I was the only house mate never to be nominated.

You would have had a plan in life before the Big Brother contest  came, what did you used to do?
Before Big Brother, I was into entertainment. Big Brother Africa was just a platform for me to do what I wanted to do. Before now, I wanted to be an actress, I wanted to be a reverend sister, but things did not just work out the way I planned it.

Talking about BBA, in the house you were very controversial, was that you or were you displaying your game plan to win the game?
Going to the house, I didn’t have any plan or strategy. I just went in there. While in the house, I used to be blunt every time, it used to be me living my normal life. The controversial side, I don’t know because I used to be a very sweet person.

In the house, it was observed that in most of your conversations, you always brought up topics about your friend, Charity...
She is my best friend.

Like you grew up together?
No, we are just friends, you know we don’t ask for friendship but I just know that we became friends and from best friends we have been family friends and then my manager.

What do you miss about the house?
Free food!

It was observed that you eat a lot...
Not me, I cook but I don’t eat a lot. Cooking then was just to while away time.

When you were in the house, you were never up for an eviction? How did you achieve that?
I didn’t do anything. I know that people picked my name but I wasn’t bothered because I also got to pick one or two people. I knew when Natasha or anybody else picked me for eviction but I understood it was just a game. However, I was generally liked in the house because I’m a people’s person.

It is like your birthday is coming, tell us when is your birthday?
27th of September 

Any birthday flowers?
Not yet

You think Angelo is coming right?
He has to, he has to try.

In the House, both of you fell in love, how do you plan to make it work?
Me and Angelo were so business minded people, we think alike, we  do a lot of things together. We have projects we are working on together so, it was much like we went to BBA as individuals but we didn’t come there to mark time. And now, we have a platform we have to use. Now, he is in his country but when there is something to do, we  will go together. It is not that we won’t have our time but it’s more of the business because we all came for something in our lives and since we have gotten  the opportunity, we should use it right.

So what is next for Beverly?
 School, my career-acting, so many things in next year let me feel I’m not sure what to say next because my voice is Ok

I’m not sure of it yet

Wendall Bribed Insurance Assessor

Former Big Brother Africa winner Wendall Parson paid a $2 000 bribe to an Alliance Insurance assessor through his brother William so that he could speed up the fraudulent claim, Harare magistrate Elisha Makomo heard yesterday.

The insurance assessor, Webber Sithole — who is the State’s second witness in Wendall and William’s trial over a $23 000 fraud — told the court that the money was also meant to silence him.

The two brothers, who are represented by Harare lawyer Harrison Nkomo are facing charges of fraud involving over $23 000 in a suspected car insurance scam.
Sithole said he met William and their mother Gillian Jackson at a food outlet along Samora Machel Avenue.

He then took the money and later surrendered it to his boss identified as Teddy Nyamurera.

Wendall and William’s lawyer, Harrison Nkomo, however, accused Sithole of making frequent calls to William pressuring him for the money saying if he failed to pay up he would cause his arrest.

Sithole argued that his duty was to call clients who would have been involved in accidents and make appointments as part of the investigations into claims made.

He disputed the assertion that he was after a bribe, arguing that if that was the case, then he would not have surrendered the money to his boss.

Nkomo argued that Sithole only surrendered the money to his boss because William had demanded a receipt as confirmation of payment.

Sithole said the claim came through an insurance agent so there was no way he would be paid money which could only be paid to Alliance or its broker. He said he could not receipt the money because he knew it was “filthy lucre”.

Nkomo then produced a document he said William was forced to sign under duress indicating he had loaned Sithole the money.

Sithole, however, disowned the document which he said was a forgery and said there was no way he could be loaned money by William because they were strangers.

The State, through prosecutor Constance Ngombengombe objected to the production of the document, arguing the State was not aware of its existence. Trial continues on September 23.

'I Wanted To Be A Reverend Sister Before BBA' - Beverly Reveals

Big Brother Africa 2013 finalist, Beverly Osu who represented Nigeria and became one of the most talked-about housemate has now revealed that being controversial has never been her goal.

In a recent interview on Abuja, she talks about life before the house and what her future plans her.

Read Excerpts:

Life before Big Brother:

Before Big Brother, I was into entertainment. Big Brother Africa was just a platform for me to do what I wanted to do. Before now, I wanted to be an actress, I wanted to be a reverend sister, but things did not just work out the way I planned it.

Exclusive: What Became Of Seydou, Talia and Keagan

We all wonder what becomes of our favourite housemates after the show ends. Well, here is some scoop on what became of the famous love triangle between BBA StarGame ex-housemates Seydou Soumare, Talia Hayward and Keagan Petersen.

It all started in the Big Brother house when Angola's Seydou and Zambia's Talia started a hot romance. Their romance was cut short when Seydou was eliminated from the game on day 25 because his partner Esperanca opted to leave the show. Talia cried her eyes out when Seydou left.

However, it wasn't long before Talia became deeply enmeshed in another love-affair with South Africa's Keagan. Talia told Keagan that maybe her feelings for Seydou were not as deep as she thought they were and for the weeks that followed, the two were locked in love.

Keagan revealed how he had always liked Talia and wanted something to happen between them outside the House. The South African revealed how surprised he was that she considered his advances, despite the situation she was in with Seydou.

But after the show ended, Talia dumped Keagan and chose to go back to Seydou. Seydou forgave her and it was heavenly for a couple of months and BANG!

The Starmates revealed via social media that they had split after they had seemingly rekindled their controversial romance. Below are the message they both posted to announce their break-up to fans.

Seydou said;

"I do Understand that you are all very passionate people, Unfortunately it has come to my attention that some of you have been verbally abusing the ones I care about. Let me set the record straight, Seylia is an icon, and icons may live forever. Nevertheless Seydou Soumaré is a Human and as a Human life goes on and changes occur.

"I have posted in early November that me and T were cool and friends who cared about each other, however most of you chose to interpret the way it suited you. With all due respect, please stop living in the fantasy that my life revolves around Seylia. I don't owe anyone any satisfaction about my personal life, BBA days are long gone, this is the Real World and some aspects of my life must remain private all times. Despite any consideration I may have for my fans, Im the one who decides what to share and what not, it's my life and mine only.

"Me and S are expecting a baby, you don't have to like it but you shall respect it, that said you really have to take a chill pill and stop acting like babies, as most of you are grown ladies and mothers, no offence.

"You are entitled to go on speculating and assuming whatever you wish on how or when, but I'm affraid I don't have to answer any of your questions? This ain't an Interview.... Keep Spreading love and Unity, and remember, this is Seydou Soumaré's page. -- God Bless."

Talia had this to say;

"Dear Fam,

Seydou and I shared what we did and I have no regrets ever trying. I walk away with no uncertainties..proud that I faced my demons and fought to fix what was broken and in the process fixed mysef.

"He has found peace with Shiela, Peace that I never gave him and I believe with all my heart that he deserves it. See when you care about someone, you are happy for them inspite of yourself. Seylia will always remain an icon of love, triumph, forgiveness and friendship. Through adversity, not only are we given an opportunity to discover our inner strength, we are also given the gift of foresight so we can shine a light for others who go through the experience after us.

"I have found my peace because he has. I feel that we are often taken out of our comfort zones, pushed and shoved out of our nests, because if not, we would never know what we could do with our wings, we would never see the horizon and the sun setting on it.

"You have no idea how your advice and good will has made me strive to be a better person, uplifted me and helped me grow.. When I say family, it is beyond BBA, beyond stardom. It is a bond that I do not take lightly. I have been inspired by inspiring you all so thank you. -- Talia."

Moving On

So Seydou served his revenge! He dumped Talia and moved on with a girl named Sheila (pictured with him above), and they are said to be with child and engaged.

Talia, who lost out on both guys relocated to the United States of America, where she is cooling off with family members.

BBA StarGame winner, Keagan appeared at the BBA The Chase finale and soon as the South African ex-Housemate sat down for his one on one chat with Live Show Presenter IK, the outspoken Nigerian host wasted no time in asking Keagan the big question on everyone's mind, "What did you with the USD 300 000?" Keagan said: "I invested it all."

After that the ex-Starmate got grilled on his brief but notorious love affair in the Big Brother House with Zambian ex-Housemate Talia. "We were only together for five days really. Once we were out of the House things were different. So we decided to go our separate ways," he clarified.

Cleo Surprises Hakeem At Mr. Zimbabwe

Zambia's former Big Brother Africa star Clementine “Cleo” Mulenga made a surprise appearance at last weekend’s Mr and Ms Zimbabwe Bodybuilding Contest to support her boyfriend Hakeem who was taking part.

Cleo’s unexpected presence in the Harare International School auditorium surprised not only the scores of bodybuilding fans who attended the colourful event but Hakeem as well.

Though Hakeem fared badly in the contest, the Zimbabwean hunk got a medal and also could not hide his joy at the unexpected reunion with the famous Zambian entertainer.

“It was a surprise really; I wasn’t really expecting it,” Hakeem told the Daily News.

“For her to travel all the way from Zambia just to watch me compete was such a great inspiration. She knows how serious I am with this modelling stuff and I am grateful for her support.”

The two lovebirds fell for each other during the Big Brother Africa the Chase contest which was won by Namibian Dillish Mathews at the end of August.

As has become the norm, Hakeem was unprepared to say much on his relationship with the 22-year-old Zambian born hip-hop artiste.

“It will be too early to talk about settling down; we have known each other only for about two months now since coming out of The Big Brother house,” said Hakeem.

“We have a relationship; a very good friendship which hasn’t grown to those extreme levels. It will take a lot from both of us to settle down but we are both happy with the way things are at the moment.”

The big Zimbabwean model, who recently met some music producers in Lagos, Nigeria recently, was more than eager to talk about the release of his debut music single before the end of the month.

“I am rebranding myself as both a model and musician and am planning to spread my roots across Africa. My music is basically Afro-pop with an RnB flow. It is authentic African sound,” he added.

Hakeem, the reigning Mr Harare in the male fitness physique category, insisted that his new foray into music will not affect his bodybuilding career.

The Zimbabwean hunk said he was not disappointed by his number four position in last weekend’s Mr Zimbabwe male fitness physique competition.

“This was a totally different competition all together,” he told the Daily News.

“Personally I wasn’t really prepared having travelled a lot since coming out of the Big Brother house. I used the opportunity to do what I know best; something that I have been doing over the years. After just two weeks of preparations, I was pleased with the result. It was an achievement for me,” said Hakeem.

Bimp Proposes To A Total Stranger In Port Harcourt

Oh yes he did!! Well, atleast he was made to, during the LVM fashion event which took place in Port Harcourt yesterday on 10th November.

The event, which had Bimp in attendance with fellow former BBA The Chase housemates (Beverly and Bassey) was made to pick a total stranger from guests in attendance and propose to her with a blackberry phone by the anchor of the show, Channel O's very own, Denrele.
